Table runner size: 48cm x 1.06m (19” x 42”)
I needed a new table runner for my chiffonier and as it was close to Christmas I pulled out my red and green NZ fabrics and added some beige as a foil.
I ended up with a ‘straight furrows’ style of log cabin with the Pohutukawa blossom red as the centre of the block. On one side I arranged various greens, Ti kouka, green tussock and ponga koru green and on the other ponga koru in white and beige and flora beige.
The easy-to-follow pattern includes an original Pohutukawa continuous line quilting pattern which I transferred onto the flora beige border with a washable felt pen. I was delighted with the result and have now added it to the website for your enjoyment as well.
I can also offer you a full kit of the table runner including pattern and quilting pattern and all the fabric for the front and binding of the table runner for $55.00.

Interesting fact:
A table runner is a long strap of cloth which is laid across the table lengthwise to add warmth and beauty to your table. Table runners bring a splash of color to the table allowing you to see a beautiful table instead of hiding it beneath a tablecloth. Table runners are often used in unusual places such as on a bedroom desk, on top of a tablecloth, on sideboards, mantels and all places that would benefit from a splash of color.
