You will probably recognise these illustrations from the book 'Diary of an Edwardian lady'.
In 1906, Edith Holden recorded in words and images the flora and fauna of the British countryside through the changing seasons.
For 70 years, her enchanting journal lay undiscovered- until 1977, when it was first published with great success (as any bookseller will recall). Now, it is back in print, ours to treasure once again in fabric.
This is a beautiful fabric with a slight glazed finish. The background is a very soft pink/beige. Just delicate and lovely.
The matching full panel is .6m wide by 1.10m and has a repeat of the nine x 6½" blocks.
There is also a matching all over fabric with birds and nests.
